Zurab Tchiaberashvili (born 6 June 1972, Tbilisi) is a Georgian politician and diplomat.

Zurab Tchiaberashvili studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology, Tbilisi State University (1989–1994, BA degree) and the Institute of Philosophy, Georgian Academy of Sciences (1994–1997, MA degree), and got Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Tbilisi State University (1999). As an Open Society Institute's Faculty Development Fellow, he spent two Spring Semesters (2002 and 2003) at the Transregional Center for Democratic Studies, Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science, New School University, New York, USA. In 2009 he graduated from the Executive MBA Joint program with Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, USA, and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar, Germany.
Zurab Tchiaberashvili’s teaching experience includes positions of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology, Tbilisi State University (1996–2001) and a Guest Lecturer at the European School of Management, Tbilisi (1999–2003). Zurab Tchiaberashvili started his career in 1993 as a reporter in daily Resonance where he hold positions of the News Editor and International News Editor (1994–1997).
In 1997 he joined International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) as the Press-Secretary. Zurab Tchiaberashvili re-joind ISFED as the Executive Director in 2002. He worked for the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia as Head of Civic Education Department (2002–2003).
Zurab Tchiaberashvili hold various public/political/diplomatic positions since 2003: the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Georgia (2003–2004), the Mayor of the capital city of Tbilisi (2004–2005), Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe (2005–2010).
Since March 2011, Zurab Tchiaberashvili is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation and Principality of Liechtenstein, and Permanent Representative of Georgia to the UN office and other organozations in Geneva. Zurab Tchiaberashvili is married to Nino Lakvekheliani. They have two children: Georges and Marie.
